Big Bend National Park was proud to partner with the Chihuahuan Desert Bike Fest to host the Old Ore Road Ride, one of the Event’s signature rides.

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK

2016 was the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Park Service and Big Bend Ranch National Park and the Bike Fest’s Old Ore Road, one of the premier backcountry two tracks in the region was included in the National Program.

Lightly traveled roads and varied terrain with stunning vistas in all directions, make Big Bend National Park a premier cycling location. Over 100 miles of paved roads and 160 miles of backcountry dirt roads provide challenges for riders of all types and abilities, not to mention unobstructed panoramic views and the opportunity to see and hear some of the smaller wonders of Big Bend from a more intimate viewpoint.
